Summer Fishing on the Way
I have spent this past spring tarpon fishing down in the beautiful Florida Keys, and cannot wait to get back to the Lowcountry SC waters in July! The bait fishing for redfish has been fairly consistent. As for sight fishing, the fish have begun to tail in the high ground of the marshes on the bigger high tides, as well as crawl around chasing shrimp at dawn on lower tide stages. This year I will have a larger boat to accommodate bigger parties, but most importantly carry dedicated anglers comfortably to the tarpon/bull redfish grounds as well as nearshore wrecks and reefs. July usually marks the beginning of the Tarpon’s arrival in our SC waters, with August-October being prime. Whether its redfish on fly in the marsh, sharks with the family or tarpon and bull reds with your best fishing buddy, give me a call and lets set up your summer and fall charter soon.
